Directed by Abolhassan Davudi, the melodrama won awards in the categories of best film, best screenplay, best supporting actor, best art director, and best special effects. The film had been nominated in ten categories.

The celebration is held annually by the House of Cinema on September 12, which is National Cinema Day in Iran.
The organizers also presented veteran cameraman Ne’mat Haqiqi and cinematic writer and scholar Mohammad Tahaminejad lifetime achievement awards during the celebration.
They also honored the monthly “Film” as the most prestigious Iranian magazine in the motion picture industry. The monthly has released a special issue on the occasion of this year’s celebration.

Best Film: “Crossroads” (produced by Nasser Shafaq and Saeid Haji-Miri).
Best Director: Asghar Farhadi (“Chaharshanbeh-Suri”).
Special Jury Prize: “Setareh Café” (produced by Mostafa Shayesteh)
Best Screenplay: “Crossroads” (Farid Mostafavi and Abolhassan Davudi).
Best Actor: Reza Kianian (“A Little Kiss”).
Best Actress: Hedyeh Tehrani (“Chaharshanbeh-Suri”).
Best Supporting Actor: Bijan Emkanian (“Crossroads”).
Best Supporting Actress: Pantea Bahram and Taraneh Alidusti (“Chaharshanbeh-Suri”).
Best Cameraman: Ali-Mohammad Qasemi (“Writing on the Earth”).
Best Editor: Mohammadreza Muiini (“Setareh Café”).
Best Art Director: Amir Esbati (“Crossroads”).
Best Composer: Ahmad Pejman (“A Little Kiss”).
Best Sound Effects Artist: Jahangir Mirshekari (“A Faraway Place”).
Best Makeup Artist: Mehrdad Mirkiani (“A Little Kiss”).
Best Special Effects Artist: Mohsen Ruzbehani (“Crossroads”).
Best Animated Film: “The Lost Waves” (directed by Amir Mehran).
Best Documentary Film: “Ghahan” (produced by Mohammadreza Abbasian).
Best Short Film: “Shining” (directed by Amir Tudeh-Rusta).
Best Documentary Film Director: Mohammad Shirvani (“President Mir Qanbar”).
The Iran Cinema Celebration also paid tribute to Japanese auteur Akira Kurosawa.
In addition, the House of Cinema will be holding a symposium on September 14 and 15 which will examine Kurosawa’s key role in the development of Japanese cinema.

A number of Kurosawa’s colleagues will be attending the symposium and a photo exhibition of stills of his films will be held on the sidelines of the event.
